Hi guys , first off id like to say thank you again for my new phone! you guys did a wicked amazing job on this cssu!
anyway i thought id add my 2 cents, and tell you all (if you dont know already) that if you have omweather widget on ur desktop ,the desktop rotates too, so now you can have one desktop. that way u can keep it in portrait mode untill u need it in landscape! Brilliant!

I really appreciate the FastSMSEvo work, but It will be possible to have the original T9 keyboard from Nokia added to CSSU? (you know, the one built in phone application). Or the keyboard from VertSMS app, i think is the closest kb to the official one

Not sure what the approach will be to include an app which is in Extras(-devel), though. Since the enabler is through Extras, as long as cssutransitiontuner is as far up the Extras chain as community-ssu-enabler, it should work.
I would suggest a no on that. I think it should be a separate downloadable-by-user package. It's perfectly easy to place the same thing into either the CSSU repos or the main repository, and make it dependent on the CSSU metapackage. Same, in my opinion, should be done with the status menu applet that MohammadAG is working on for rotation control. I think both are good ideas, but some users might not want those installed, and unlike other packages/improvements that the CSSU packages, I think this is too far outside the must-be-pushed-through-CSSU realm, and fits just fine in the "could be in the repos without the CSSU" category. Using the CSSU to push intrinsic-to-necessary-packages modifications (like Hildon Desktop modifications/improvements/extras) makes sense, using it to push open source replacements for the closed source blobs makes sense too - but there doesn't seem to be any good reason to put in extra packages on top like the status menu rotation control or a transitions controlling UI within the main CSSU release itself.

(I'm also thinking that, if there are any closed source packages that can be swapped out with open source replacements without depending on the CSSU as a delivery mechanism, those should be packaged separately too - sure, most reasonable people will want to upgrade to the CSSU, especially when it hits non-testing, but they should still have the option to install the open source replacements that don't truly need the CSSU separately.

Just make sure to include a description of what they do, and the users who want/need it will find it easily.

I was wondering if one of the maemodder patches could be added disabling the wifi "enabled, disabled" message when changing wifi connection?

am not sure if this has been asked before?

Hi,

I tried to recreate this to no avail. Are there any special requirements to this? Such as only having that one desktop enabled or something?

Thanks in advance.

Surely if the CSSU now allows users the possiblity of configuring the transitions they should be albe to do so with a built in package rather than then having to go and download the package from repos.

Otherwise I can just see the numerous questions on the CSSU thread when end users download the stable version in due course then asking how they configure the transitions which has been listed on the changelog as being configurable. I personally can not imagine anybody who downloads the CSSU will not want to at least try configuring the transitions to start with, even if they then decide to go back to the stock version (which i would of thought is pretty unlikely anyway from my own experince so far)

Could you raise an enhancement linking to the patch, please?

Nothing special, i just installed omweather and put the widget on the desktop, and discovered but accident the for some reason the widget,i guess, forced the desktop to portrait mode.....just by pure luck , as they say......thats just really weird, it stopped doing all of a sudden! damn!
