in android there is an address bar on desktop that u can type things on it straightly .

I wanted to design TouchSearch like that when I started, but it is impossible. Desktop widgets cannot have data entered directly into them via the keyboard -- this is a limitation of the device operating software. Unfortunately there is no way to work around this, and that led me to having the separate dialog to actually enter the query.
