you need to press and hold the shift key for 2 seconds... that way you get Caps Lock.

I thought there is an option in the keyboard settings to turn this feature on and off? (Didn't you find this before?) With this version of OS2008, regardless of this setting, there is no autocomplete in X-term...
The autocomplete does work on other apps, such as mail, notes, etc...
