Mine works fine ever since Diablo and A-GPS.

I constantly get locks in 30 seconds or less, if A-GPS can get a net connection. That is the key. When starting from home I start Wayfinder while I am within WLAN range. Otherwise the phone net connection can take a while to get going. But either way it is a totally different experience than before A-GPS.

The routing with Wayfinder is a bit odd at times, but it works fine for me. I wouldn't think of getting a full GPS unit now.

I think it to be absurd to have to pay for the map/navigation. I already bought the device, and I would have to pay... AGAIN? Ridiculous.

If you buy a car, do you also think it is ridicolous to pay for the gas or the tires? Okay, not a perfect fit. Another one:
If you pay for a computer. do you also think it is ridicolous to pay for software or services? Here we are

The AGPS simply complicates an already intermittent system.

It is often better, but I've also gotten the 8+ bars from AGPS all gray with at least 5 that should be strong enough for a lock, but it still hasn't after several minutes.

They have not addressed, and perhaps have not found the root cause of the GPS problem - not locking for long periods under what should be ideal conditions. AGPS sometimes bypasses the root problem, but sometimes not.

Going from working 40% of the time to 80% of the time isn't sufficient. And there is no apparent pattern to when it works or doesn't - sometimes it locks indoors near a window quickly, sometimes it refuses to on top of an outdoor table. And you never know in advance.

There is much discussion (and probably could use some more votes to have this bug fixed) at:

QFT. This seems to be the most discussed bug on the forums, might as well help getting it fixed

It works well enough for me, but certainly could be better.

You are paying for the continual work being performed (as in updates).

You like being paid for your continual work, right?

So do others.

Even with a high pitch SCREAMING, see previous thread, the happy ones remain minority! Need to say any more? You want to see this fixed within the lifetime of N810? keep casting vote here as well as write to bugzilla
