If i can have only one device, it would be a tablet PC that has a 9" display w/ 1024x600 resolution and weights less than 2 pounds. With this device, I can do some "office work" either at home or travelling (so Windows would be preferable), and read RSS feeds/surf internet in bed comfortably.

The Viliv X70 looks like a great device, with one exception. It's running Windows. If it ran some flavor of Linux I'd endorse it, but not while it's running Windows. And I have more reasons for that statement than just "it's running Windows". First off, Linux is faster, better on battery life, more secure, cheaper, etc. In other words, it's just better with Linux.

Good to know. But I am a consumer, not a techie. I need things to work right out of the box, without much tinkling. I bought one N8770, two N800s (one for Mrs.) and one N810 only because they are pocketable. Learned a few things about Linux along the way, am grateful for that. But I regret to say that if I were ever forced to choose one OS, it would be Windows, for all kinds of reasons.

Then why are you on Windows? (as opposed to a Mac)

I have learned to use Windows (right up to Vista) over the years.

OH man, I think I just about died laughing when I read that. I'd ask the same question of him, except I'd say Linux, since Windows doesn't "just work" as so many claim it does. In fact, it does a spectacular job of "not working".

Go ahead and laugh. Currently I am in my third corporate environment. In all three institutions Windows was/is the default OS. So I had to learn to survive. Maybe I should have also learned Mac OS or Linux, but since they were not required, I never felt the need to. Let's face it, we all have different areas of interest. You know your computer, I know my 6-7 languages (I use N810 to read RSS feeds from 5 countries, European and Asian, every day). unlike you, I don't expect people to have the same kinds of skills.
