The word "capacitative" was mentioned a few times at the summit in Harmattan context, but this development may mean that Harmattan will be able to run on Fremantle devices after all.

Nokia has filed a new patent for multitouch
the multitouch combination stuff I can come up with relates to needing a fixed point, pinch is not applicable in the normal sense.
I like the idea of this compromise, as drm points out handwriting is very important in certain parts of the world (the far east, manchester etc)
