NSU doesn't know whether you are using a laptop or an intergallactic space cruiser (or a PC). I ran it on a laptop here.

I only mentioned it because, when it failed, NSU said something about how it may not work on laptop USB(I think).

Another idea; I quote Venomrush:
"According to this post ( http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...9&postcount=67 ), windows driver signing can cause problems. You either need to turn on the loading of unsigned
drivers or boot your computer to whole another OS."[/QUOTE]

Yeah I have tried that, but that hasn't appeared to have made a difference either!
I'm pretty sure I'm doing it all right, but if it wouldn't piss anyone off too much, A step by step guide probably wouldn't go amiss!!?

EDIT
I meant I have tried disabling the driver signature thing btw.

I've just managed to flash using vista. If its any use to anyone I did the following :-

updated to SP2 (didnt realise i was still on SP1 and i think this was probably the problem)

ran cmd as admin

made sure the .bin files for the fiasco and eMMC weren't compatibility files (for some reason vista saved them that way which makes them 'virtual files' AFAIK)

These are probably all things that everyone apart from me already knew, but hopefully it'll help some other noob!
