Maemo is rock solid - I've had had it going for three weeks without reboot once and it NEVER crashed. Unlike the iPhone. Unlike the DROID. Unlike the Nexus One, where all three crashed on me much earlier than my N900.
GUI not fluid - excuse me, this is a TRUE multitasking phone. What'd you expect? Want it to be fluid? Exit apps! Or tune transitions.ini for more win.

No true autofocus bit had me ROFLOL. Seriously, what the hell are you talking about? When did any other phone NOT require a half press? Granted, most HTC phones (Android/WinMo) don't need half press cause they don't even HAVE a hardware camera button! Same for iPhone.
Wrong time on received SMS? Check your settings.
SIM card holder is the worse? Nokia has used the exact same holder in god knows how many phones. WTF are you talking about. The one in my N900 and my 5700XM is the SAME.
Promise of freedom? Having root access from the get go is NOT freedom? Then explain why every single Android device has been rooted - for freedom.
Earpiece volume is very low? Check your ears - even for me who is moderately deaf it's plenty loud.
No good media player alternatives? Have you even TRIED Canola2? Media Box?
Poor wifi performance? What are you on?
Phone slows down after ~15 applications? Stop using experimental apps, if you don't even know what they entail.
Phone is not covered (warranty) - then don't buy export phones. Blame the seller, not Nokia.
Can't hard reset? Check again.
Once again, a troll. We won't miss you - now shoo.
Another reason why Nokia doesn't bother releasing updates and ditches the phone with pretty much a low number of complaints from this example.
I can prove you wrong on so many levels but I don't like feeding stupidity.

In case anyone is looking at this thread trying to decide whether or not to buy an N900, I disagree with most of the points listed in the first email. The problems mentioned have *not* been my experience.
I agree that the N900 is not for everyone - but neither is the iPhone.
