I'm in the repository. If someone else will tell me what other packages are needed, I'll pull them and add them to the dirs.

Yes, unfortunately you are right, I forgot to add this... will do in january as well as other media we don't do proper parse (real, wav, ...).

In meantime, it's all based on lightmediascanner, which is a public project at garage, one could write a new plugin that mimics video-dummy, but for audio instead, and add there all still unsupported extensions you want, then use cnl-get-prefs canolad and cnl-set-prefs canolad audio_types "['id3lib', 'ogg', 'm3u', 'pls', 'audio-dummy']" to enable it within canola.

Ok, it doesn't solve the problem now, but at least give some hints on how to solve until I get back from vacation :-P
