cool. that was pretty close. palm pre is definitely a phone i considered, it's another linux device without needing "hacks" to get root. But I prefer the n900 wide screen for apps than the possibility to type with one hand.

maybe, but the reason we can put android onto the n900 is
1) It's open source
2) it's designed to run on different hardware

Even if we find the source for the webOS, it's probably not "free" and it is probably a lot harder to get working than android. The apps would be all screwed up from the different screen size, for example.

Shortly: No
Long version: not likely. Someone tried it and failed and said it will be extremely hard, because Palm has not released all of there code

So do we all need to eliminate the competition by voting for the Xperia then? Get them out the way before our battle begins.
