you used to be able to close the camera app just by closing the lens cover but this doesn't work now,can this be fixed as it was much more convenient to close the app with the lens cover.

I don't want to be annoying. I know there exist a "thanks" button, but I've got to say it: this last upgrade is GREAT.

Vertical dashboard!

I use shortcutd and I use the camera button to launch de dashboard with my ring finger. Now U can use my phone fast and pleasantly with one hand.

DO NOT USE THIS METHOD. Seriously people keep posing this kind of thing and it leads to issues. MAG already posted the command line you should use for upgrading that way. The above method will upgrade ANYTHING that is marked as such and could result in you installing stuff that will FUBAR your N900

Set the save location to sdcard and you should be able to use it. To do so - keep the shutter closed and longpress the camera button . When the UI comes up - change the save location.

There's a tiny bug in the camera ui. The timer setting for 15s starts at 10s.
But hey,what an amazing upgrade to the camera ui

Interesting... it seems to be a stale DNS record somewhere... I connected to a far remote computer and I'm getting a different ip address. I've added this ip to my /etc/hosts and I'm now able to update the catalogs correctly...
