Navit works pretty well now with the OpenStreetMap data - no need to use these hacks on Wayfinder.

Can we work on some sort of permanent hack to get it activated? or edit a hosts file to use an alternative activation server, which will always activate regardless

Id be happy to host such a server, if anyone can figure out the protocol, etc...

I have a small hack leftover from my N810 that I made for wayfinder, the latest version. If there is a safe place where I could post it, I will be happy to do it when I get home. Of course, the hack is inspired from this thread, the only thing that I made is a small application to make the requesting new demo license easier.
