Annoying noob experiences:
When using Maemo Mapper – Route – Download you need to use country and city codes for small streets. For example: Verysmallstreet 21 won’t work, you need to ad both, Berlin, Germany too.

That's also the workaround to get directions in your own language, by the way.
(Yeah, I know, I'm a bad person, I should document this somewhere. Well, this will have to do for now. )

Hi,
Thanks for the replay.
First, I would like to mention that I read the thread of John Costigan on the
2007-02-08. I quote points 13-14 from his reply:
"13. You will see a black screen. From the menu, select "Maps", then select "Manage Repositories".
14. Enter a URL Format from this list:
http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showpost.php?p=25463&postcount=2"
I tried to download and I got en error that URL doesn't exist.
The thread link is: https://garage.maemo.org/forum/message.php?msg_id=1139.
Second, I'm connected to the Internet (WiFi) and I have a Blue GPS module that is recognized by the Nokia 700.
Last, the maemo-mapper I installed is 1.3.5 with libsqlite0. I couldn't install the latest version neither libsqlite3.
Thanks again,
Itamar

Or are you talking about the "links" in the Maemo Mapper Repositories thread? Because those aren't links you can actually browse to in a web browser. They are templates for actual links (the %d's and %s's are filled in by Maemo Mapper itself). The only reason they are set up as links in the post are so that you can copy/paste them easily. That's not really necessary anymore, though, so long as you use the "Download..." button in the "Manage Repositories" dialog (described above).
