Hi guys,
I posted this in the community forums, but I think it did not get posted. Anyway my apologies if it's already been asked/answered.

My N900 is asking me to install this security patch but every time I accept and allow it, I get "not enough disc space" error. I have un-installed a lot of apps and have even moved some rootsh files out of the app space and now I have over 500meg of free app space and I still get the error, even after several reboots.
Can anyone help me to install this patch please? Thank you

How much space do you have available in your ROOT file system (not /home).

Go to the terminal and type "df -h" and post the results here.

Don't know if anything similar happened to you. I reflashed my n900, GPS working fine. Installed Security update, all fine.
After that, added nelisquare and for some reason, GPS could not get a fix on ovi maps or any other geolocation app.
Could it be conflicting libs?
It seems nelisquare installs libqtm-12 libs...

OK so you have 33M available on /

AFAIK that should be enough. The patch itself is relatively small (a couple of MB I think), but who knows what artificial limits the application manager is using (in my case it complained because I had 17% battery left, which in my case means about 10 hours left).

You could perhaps try doing the update from OVI suite (if you use Windows).

Otherwise you would still have to free some (unspecified) amount of memory off the root file system. The problem is how

Have a look here: http://wiki.maemo.org/Free_up_rootfs_space
and see if there's anything you can do.

I installed the security update. Nevertheless I cannot access to ovi store any more: I am said to install the security update.

This update is perfectly safe to install, I have had no problems with it.

Quick reply...
Have just installed this update. Is there any list of changes for this update? Is it only changing certificates, or something else too?
What's curious, I don't see "21.2011.38-1" at
