It should be obvious that you can't fit miniSD cards in microSD slots.

It will support OpenGL ES 2.0 which is significantly different.

  • With Full Flash Support.
Perhaps a reasonable assumption (whatever "Full" may mean) based on past devices, but there's no information about that at the moment.
1) Hopefully this has a full SD slot, or at least a microSD slot. (Not miniSD like the n810)

2)N8x0 have software OpenGL. I am sure someone will hack together a OpenGL ES to OpenGL driver thingy.

3)Yeah, there should be flash. Its literally one aspect that defines the tablets.

I guess that statement would be too obvious to be a teaser? :P

So its basically an iphone with a keyboard just like the samsung, htc touch pro2, etc. Well, at least most of these new smartphones now are going to be 3.5" screen standard instead of the old tiny screens on large qwerty keyboards we are used to.

and the screen is finally flush - in the end the screen shrink probably won't be that noticeable

It's not a teaser. And I'm as frustrated as anyone that there's no news of such a thing...

Uh-oh. This thing's BL-5J battery is 1320 mAh. N810's BP-4L is 1500 mAh.

I guess it's only for use in the mornings...

Luckily, there were indications (possibly last year's summit???) a while back that Nokia was planning for Maemo 5 to be more of a family than any single device. If said information were true, it could be that they were planning an initial RX-51 release followed by a RX-71 (which might be larger, faster, or who knows, even keyboardless).

Why do you think the battery life is directly proportional to battery mAh capacity, especially when we are comparing two completely different hardware???

Because as a baseline, OMAP3 is reasonably comparable consumption-wise to OMAP2. At the lowest end it'll use significantly less (matter of scales, mostly, as naught isn't that much smaller than ought ), while at the top end it'll use slightly more (PowerVR, ISP added on).

Throw in a bunch of extras like GSM, accelerometers and FM radios, and you've pretty nicely eliminated the power advantage offered by the reduction in screen size.

So, yeah, I'd say it's safe to assume that battery life is going to be worse. Yet more hardware idiocy by Nokia (that "kickstand" is going to suck) . . . bleed the enthusiasm out, Nokia, bleed it out.

I'm surprised more isn't being said about the "NSeries" branding. The N800 & N810 may have technically had the "N" in their names but were treated like bastard step children or ignored all together by sites.

I'm wonderin' if this will change with the "Rover".
