Duncan's easy to use greasemonkey script simplifies the google reader experience:

-increases the font size for the entries to make them a bit easier to read.

-removes whitespace from the top of the page

-moves most Google navigation items to pulldown menu

Enjoy!
As a simple alternative to cleaning up Google Reader, why not use the mobile url I once posted on ITT Mobile Google Reader?

It is nice to use the scripts mentioned in this thread to read the ITT forum posts.

Well, each to his own, but IMHO there's no comparison between full blown Google Reader and the clunky mobile interface. YMMV
I like the simplicity of the full-blown reader: select the tag or subscription you want and then scroll through the messages using the down key, spacebar, or 'j' to scroll by lines, pages, or message respectively.

The main thing I don't like about the full-blown reader is that I'm finding it almost impossible to click on that tiny triangle that shows/hides the sidebar (so expect an updated script soon that makes it larger).

I really like the google reader and ITT scripts. However, since installing the updated ITT script the font size does not change like it did before the update. Any idea why the font size is not increasing when I visit the site now after the update?

Thanks.

Oops, sorry. I missed out the last line when I copied the new version up to userscripts. If you install it again now it should work.

I've also updated the Google Reader script. The area to toggle the sidebar is now larger (actually you can click anywhere on it not just the triangle). When the sidebar is hidden the area to click to show the subscription pulldown is also larger now and I've spread out the subscriptions slightly.

Thanks again for these 2 really nice scripts. I have installed the updated Google Reader script and it works perfectly. However, after installing the updated update to the ITT script, the navigation buttons are now larger but the font size still is not increasing like on the original script when visiting ITT.

Thanks again. Keep up the good work.
