Easy, buy a short HDMI cable and an additional charger for the n900, then splice them

the usb DOES NOT transmit the tv out signal so splicing them will do nout

Thanks for the reply retsaw. Good point on the voltage source. I'm not 100% sure, but it might be that the current does in fact run only from the device (source) to screen (sink).

its 100% unrelated to maemo and the n900. and anyother hardware device that exists today?
plus like the op said earlier the voltage from a hdmi is far too low to charge the device anyway?
maybe ill waste a brainstorm thread asking if its possible to charge my device using friction! sorry
