hey and is there any way to save battery life while overclocked?

hey it shows 39 degree- 40 degrees is it normal?

yes it is normal .
and yeah to check if your temperature is going over the limits.
try to find Savecpu app from the app manager.
what does this app do.
it allows you to choose a certain temp. which you think is a limit for your n900 .
and if the temp of your phone will increase from the one you have chosen that application will alarm you and automatically downgrade the frequency of your phone to prevent any damage .

and i dont think so you can save your battery with your phone overclocked :$

Answers to questions like "can you save battery when you are overclocked" are common knowledge here. The answer is in the Wiki. Look at the Overclocking section. There's a link to Jakiman's doc in the Overclocking section. It is quite clear.

hey thanks for the information. hey btw i had a battery widget on my home screen. after the overclock and the new kernel, the battery on the status bar and the battery on the homescreen are showing different battery levels. before this, it was exactly the same percentage. do u know whats wrong? hey and i think its is taking too much of my battery at 750 frequency. is there anyway to make the battery consumption normal?
