I wish this guy could address real issues with the n900, and not give it such a poor review only out of his lack of knowledge and/or patience.

A few parts of his blog touched sensitive spots with the n900, but most of his posts just expressed his frustration.

With Ovi maps the maps are pre-loaded and so you dont need to have an active connection to use the gps for routing. Also ovi maps are heavily integrated with various parts of the os. This is specially useful for location aware applications. Ovi maps also includes local weather and the weather is updated using the gps location to show the current weather in your current location.
.
false. Maps are not pre-loaded and you do need an active connection to use the gps for routing. Once the maps are downloaded, they stay in the cache.

As far as i know this is the only advantage of the iphone compared to the n900 and of course the other being the app store. But both of these can be expected in the near future with more developers flocking to maemo due to its open nature.
LOL havnt seen to much of this lately.

Reviewing the N8 now would probably land you in the same place as Eldar is looking at now. And the next gen Nokia with MeeGo has yet to come or even be announced.

Hard to review items that aren't released yet.
