In FAM, click on the little C thing and select advanced.

Apt shares sources with HAM, not FAM. You need repositories enabled in HAM to apt-get to your heart's desire.

Also, if you have issues with apt, we'll wanr to see some output. We can't help "problems with apt".

Did you uninstall libqt4-test package? Did it work? What is the problem HAM or FAM or apt reports?

Did I ask you something??

Regarding my GPS/network location issue, possibly related to CSSU, I have split it to another thread:
http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...53#post1004853

Any hint/confirmation/... welcome!

I don't know where to ask so I must here. This morning I have restarted my phone and removed battery and than when I turn on N900 I got error

"All telephony functions, including emergency calls, are disabled due to a communication error. To recover, you might have to reboot the device".

I rebooted it 10x , I have reflashed the device without problems, everything works well except telephony functions. I tried two different cards, tried without sim but nothing. Can there be a problem somewhere deep in Maemo and not in hardware? I will install Nitrodi N12 soon to see will be there any changes. I really don't know what to do anymore, I need phone everyday.

I read 10-15 forums today so don't tell me go there and there because nobody of them don't know how to fix this problem, so I asking developers: Is here any way to now if it's because of SW or HW and how to fix it. Thank you in advance.

If you reflashed, you have a hardware problem.

I assume since you read the 15 threads you already tried the sim clean, the paper trick, the board twist, installed syslog and tracked the issue, you know, all the steps in the said threads?

There is nothing in Maemo that trigger the error. It is a message that is typically put up by the OS when communication with the GSM modem fails. syslog will make more sense of it, but I'll go ahead and assume you have a hardware issue, most likely you twisted or bent the board or dropped the device and the modem is dead.

So, Nokia Care Centre?

EDIT: Where can I find syslog?

EDIT 2: This is it:
maemo.org/packages/package_instance/view/fremantle_extras-devel_free_armel/libsyslog-ruby/4.2maemo1/

Personally, I would also like to see Maemo ( openness for the community developers )+ N900 + features available in their Symbian phones
