I had the same problem.. solved installing all deps one by one from the
http://repository.maemo.org/extras/pool/3.1/free/ directory.

(used red pill mode to have the list of dependencies..)

Bytoz - I would really like to solve this problem on my device today, as I leave town for 5 weeks tomorrow morning, and would really rather not worry about it while travelling.

I know how to add repositories and enter red pill mode, but there are a lot of files in the directory you mentioned. Could you describe in a bit more detail how you resolved this issue? I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would be very appreciative.

Thank you.

Not sure if this is a coincidence, but yesterday when upgrading I performed the restore from a backup procedure. I encountered the same problems as seen in this thread.

This morning, I did the upgrade again but didn't perform a restore. All seems well now... and microb installed fine.

Not sure if there is a problem with the backup / restore procedure or if the repositories have been fixed? (am quite new to all of this so forgive me if i'm talking dross)

Worked this morning... "They" must have cleaned up the repository again.

Thanks!

It just now worked for me too! I had to enter "sudo apt-get update" to refresh the repos first though. Just finished installing MicroB, now I'll see if installing Python works too. Yep! Python just finished installing. It looks like they fixed all the problems this morning.

What do you mean?

Does MicroB now really work on the latest 2006 OS ?

At least the version number of 0.0.8-4 in the application manager catalog
does _not_ encourage me to give it another try.

The trials with the above version were very disappointing so far:-(
