I agree with you, but I find navigating around the interface to the bookmarks etc clumsy enough that it becomes a cause of slowness in itself.

Thanks Crashdamage, that does work well, wish they'd get a pointer working, but its good to know I can grab text now, used it already to get tethering setup to my Storm from the N900.

firefox's scrolling is not as kinetic as its on microb. Also jerkyness when loading page is for me unbearable. I'm a bit ******* when it comes to responsivness or speed, imho in good way

Nightlies are little faster but still behind microb expect in javas speed. Probably 1.2 will change that when microb engine is updated.

I don't like Firefox on the N900 (Microb),
I don't like Firefox on the Desktop (Opera).

For my general browsing, I use MicroB.
I installed AdBlock plus for it, so the flash ads don't bother me anymore.
Despite everyone from the N800 / N810 era seems not to like it, I think it is a fairly usable browser.

When I want something like searching a page from my desktop, or checking for something in my desktop tabs, I use Firefox.
It is fast, but you have to wait a little longer, and it renders the entire page. Then, it is more responsive than MicroB.
The nightly Fennec builds are even better.

Unfortunately, Tear and Midori are out of the question currently.

MicroB is based on Mozilla Firefox, 3.5 code to be exact. Firefox Mobile is based on Firefox 3.6.

More bells and whistles is not always a Good Thing, especially for mobile devices.
