TBH Texrat, Anarae does have a valid point there - if this phone is for developers, and considering the fact that MeeGo in its current state IS available for the N900, why can't we "test" PR 1.2 too?
I mean, we're "good enough" to be able to install and use MeeGo (which I don't have to remind you - currently has no UI and missing lots of basic functionalities) but we're not "good enough" to test a simple update?
Unless of course, PR 1.2 does bring something more than "just an update", which in this case Nokia would want it to be released only on certain terms and conditions, which Nokia decided that will happen on a very certain occation...

Tex...right now, the vast majority of screaming posters consider PR1.2 the Holy Grail...

The only valid complaint I can see is that IF (thats an if there) PR1.2 for HK is the real PR 1.2 - Nokia can't release a flashable image of it on the website.
If it's not out of testing yet, that's fine - the people that need the OTA updates can wait until it's to that point; people who don't mind reflashing their device and losing their settings can toy with PR1.2

May very well be a localization issue. Remember, the N900 is just now launched there. Maybe emphasis was placed on getting the PR1.2 image for Hong Kong done first due to the launch. Just speculating.

Wish they had a hotfix system in place so you can just install the hotfix which fixes a certain bug. (like Microsoft...)
Just release Beta/RC builds and put them up in a unstable repository and for those who are installing, just show a BIG warning sign saying this is UNSTABLE prior to the install. Super easy. That's what they are doing internally, why not do it for the techy guys out here who are willing to also try and test their so called "beta/rc" builds.
We all know PR1.2 will also have lots of bugs and spawn many more enhancement requests. So just release it and let us help report any bugs as we are going to do it even when their "fully tested" gets released anyways.
