I have not so good experience, I think 3.5G drain more battery with the pr 1.3. My N900 after has 7-8 hours with about 2 hours internet surfing 3.5G and all time notify incoming email; first day after upgradeI have only 5.5 hours. I hope I'm wrong.

Yea, I did, but I have exactly the same programs as I had before upgrade.

Good work, Nokia!
I have always had sr_vdd1_autocomp set to 1, but having read that enabling sr_vdd2_autocomp is not working in previous FW I haven't enabled it. Is it possible to enable it now with PR1.3? Any known problems and benefits?

It's better than typical Nokia. The typical nokia style is to show full bars minus 1 when battery reaches 50%.

This is probably a remnant of the distant past when everyone and their dog were quantifying battery life time in terms of "wow my phone still shows full bars after 5 days!".

this disconnect appears consistent throughout the battery level range (i ran the battery down to about 20% yesterday to test it). the status bar animation is consistently 15 to 20% higher than i'd expect, given my normal battery consumption on PR 1.2 and the results from battery eye.

so... battery life seems improved, but i'm having a very hard time quantifying it.
I've always said that the only way to quantify battery life is to run it until shutdown.

I noticed the battery also drains faster after using 3G on PR1.3. Today, I switched on 3g to surf the internet for about 10 mins, disconnected and switched back to 2g for the rest of the day. My battery levels are considerably lower than what it should be given the same usage on PR1.2.

Both are worked in PR1.0-PR1.1. But in PR1.2 sr_vdd2_autocomp was disabled in kernel because it seemed as a source of hardware failure.

Now we can set both to 1 again and it works for me around 24h well.

BTW, from comments it looks like Nokia set sr_vdd1_autocomp by default but I am too lazy to do a reboot to check that - can you do?

I would be not surprised if power-saving discussed here can be accounted to sr_vdd1_autocomp.

@egoshin
I have edited pmconfig months before PR1.3, so I don't know if sr_vdd1_autocomp was enabled by default in PR1.3. I want to monitor behavior now with sr_vdd2_autocomp disabled, and then will toggle it on to see if it will make any difference.
