Man, someone really pissed in your cornflakes..

GTK+'s crap for utilizing the GLES core in a proper way, which is a good reason why Nokia went with Qt.

And there's a tool for disabling transitions if you so want.

It's a *really* awesome program. Hope that they will allow me to make a preview video, soon...

Is it still working ok for you? I tried it after reading your post and while the transitions were smoother, the GUI has locked up three times with it enabled when my N900 was previously stable.

It makes everything smooth but causes instability.
for me it's much more smoother and havent had any instability. maybe because its overclocked???? 500, 1150 @ ideal?
also tried 500, 950 @ideal and it works fine
thanks Lemonadium

my mobile is up for around 5hrs with hardware sync for transition on and till now no freeze no hang and using power kernel at default clock speed and of course smoothness in transition is noticeable

Course GTK+ sucks at effiency. Nokia should have taken that into consideration when developing their highest end Nseries to date.

all i'm saying is they should have worked on both transitions and UI, not just one or the other, and since they only worked on one, imd rather have a good UI instead of transitions.
