Did you all install power kernel first, or subversion first? For the one guy not using the CSSU, do you have any other hildon-desktop package that uses matan's hildon-desktop mods?
I guess you are talking to me...

Yes, I also installed Matan's hildon-desktop as there was a battery draining bug in the PR1.3.

I suspect one of the lib dependencies for subversion has changed, since vanilla firmware is also giving the same error. I think we need somebody who has a working copy of svn and from there trace every library svn uses, and from there, download and install every package and see if it still breaks.

@all: I need a volunteer who has a working copy of subversion. Can you please let us know what version you have installed and all the supporting libs and their versions?

You can please type in:

apt-cache show [package] > [package].txt

The [package] list should be:

subversion
libaprutil1
libapr1
libc6
libgcc1
libuuid1

The funny thing is, I noticed a message that says "Conflicts with libapr1.0" and am not sure if that is the culprit?

Anyway, if you do it right, you should have 6 text files which I hope you can post in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

In the mean time, I'll investigate this "libapr1.0" thingy...

Just a quick update. I tried to install libapr1.0 and got an error the package does not exist but is referenced by another package.

when doing:

Code:
dpkg -l | egrep -i 'subversion|libapr|libc6|libgcc1|libuuid1'

it throws:

Code:
ii libapr1 1.4.2-3~bpo50+2maemo1 The Apache Portable Runtime Library
ii libaprutil1 1.3.9+dfsg-5~bpo50+1maemo2 The Apache Portable Runtime Utility Library
ii libc6 2.5.1-1eglibc27+0m5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone
ii libgcc1 1:4.2.1-4maemo13+0m5 GCC support library
ii libuuid1 1.41.3-1maemo6+0m5 universally unique id library
ii subversion 1.6.12-3 Enterprise-class centralized version control

But dont see libsvn1....? What do you think? Could that be a problem?

@ Can some of you with working or not working versions of svn try this and post us the output...please.

I tried to install libsvn1 and apt-get said there is no such package...

@ZenGuru: Just checking, your copy of subversion works?

This error maybe due to the recent ssl patch ...
Is someone able to install and use current version svn?

@ajack: No, it doesnt work here. It is like in your case, always getting segmentation fault when doing svn.
