TabletPhone works for me.

Then you can have the version numbers after. E.g.
  • TabletPhone 900
  • TabletPhone 910
  • etc

You could then just use Tablet for the non-phones
  • Tablet 770
  • Tablet 800
  • Tablet 810

About the X, AFAIK, due to its use in aeronautics for prototypes (X-1, X-29), the use on a device/car/whatever tries to suggest its use of advanced, bleeding edge tech.

It also connotes prototypes... many of which crash.

I'm sure Nokia have a few of their Nokia trademarks that haven't been used yet, or can be recycled.

Personally I like the sound of the Nokia Dirk Dagger. The Nokia Friendstalk sounds a bit creepy.
