I assume that you did enable the pause on headset unplugged functionality via Settings? I have tested both with the standard N900 headphones and with Bluetooth Nokia BH-505 headset, and pausing did work fine with both of them.

Yes, I did do that. I'm using Koss Porta Pro, doesn't seem to work nor with the Sennheiser HD 280. I also got again the Playlist-error, this time in WiFi.
I also have the Headphone daemon installed, can it be conflicting with this? I tested the Media Player and that was fine, the headphone-daemon stopped playback.

Thanks for the info, I will need to check if headphoned could have something to do with it (I have not it myself installed currently).

Great, thanks. I happened to notice by the way, that there's some unnecessary spacing whilst holding the device in login portrait, see screenshot (I also attached the landscape just to compare the spacing).

Thanks for the info about the spacing, I had not noticed it myself..
I tried to install headohoned, but pause on unplug did still work with the standard headphones (did not test with the bluetooth model). Have you tried the playback controls?
dpkg -l|awk '/^ii/{ print $2 }' >pkgs_installed.txt

Odd. Well, the playback controls within QSpot did work just fine, but I couldn't rewind the current track to the 0:00 (hint, feature request, hint ). I'd try with the stock headset but I've lost it and it doesn't seem to be a case with the headset in this case.
I also tried to print installed packages to .TXT but failed at it, I just got from:
Error "Unexpected end of string".Code:dpkg -l|awk '/^ii/{ print $2 }' >pkgs_installed.txt
Here's my installed packages. I have to warn you though, the list is long.

Now an updated QSpot version (0.9.0-1) is available from the extras-devel repository (and from the project garage page). A list of changes:
* Volume can now be adjusted when device is locked.
* Added support for playback control via (Bluetooth) headset (i.e., play / pause, next / previous track).
* Added support for automatically pausing playback when headset is unplugged (disconnected); configurable via Settings dialog (off by default).
I hope you will enjoy the update.. Seek within track was not included in this version as there are some problems in the current libopenspotify implementation.

The timeout error can occur now and then due to communications with the Spotify playlist servers. I am working on an approach involving caching of playlist data in the libopenspotify library, which I hope will help to eliminate this problem.
