Well, if your licence has expired, and the owners don't want to sell you a new one, you're SOL. I know, it sucks. Remember this next time someone offers you software-as-a-service.

In the meantime, if the only thing that covers your needs is wayfinder, one solution might be to buy a 770 or N800 navigation kit (Amazon have a couple right now), and use that licence on your N810. You'll also get a very decent BT GPS and a few other bits and pieces in the bargain.

It was, but if transferred to a diablo/wayfinder machine it becomes 3 years :-( I suppose you could look for a cheap N800, flash it with Bora and keep it forever.

Gladly. Feel free to recommend something that is actually available for sale, reasonably hackable, has a high resolution screen small enough to fit in a pocket but large enough to read comfortably, decent input methods including a physical QWERTY keyboard and lasts nearly a week per charge.

In fact, let me make it even easier for you: frivolities like multi-megapixel cameras, cellular radios, accelerometers, vibrators, OLED and/or capacitive screens, HDMI ports etc are entirely optional.

yukop4: What about my post of 7/16 do you fail to understand? Let me sum it. I used my N810 on my motorcycle. To get similar features in a GPS, I'd have to spend $600. Just because a cheap Tom-Tom may work for you does not mean it will work for me.

The Navicore licence will be valid in wayfinder for 3 years only.If used with the navicore 2007 (only runs in os2007) it is perpetual.
I am using it on my n810 with wayfinder - still a bit left.Using the fake mac hack - I have enabled Navicore 2007 on my n800 running os2007.I use my n810 every day for the many things it can do that others can't.With the gps device that comes with the kit,it gives a lock in seconds and routing has never let me down - even when I visited USA (a couple of free trials).Don't forget you can add your own speedcams and PIOs.Some say the n810/wayfinder is finished,but I would be at a loss if I didn't have it - and others still look with envy when they see what it can do!

let me recap ? so we're in 2012 . is it possible to start using wayfinder on diablo ? I guess not , what about bora does it requiere a license ?

is anyone still using navicore on n8x0 ?

if not then i guess the alternative is maemomapper or navit ?
