pity, the (µ-)USB3 port has notably faster charging ability
would have been handy in conjunction with the supersized battery of the other half
but hey, maybe an other half w/ USB3?
the sky is the limit, right?

True, at that point I'd hope there's a telco happy to subsidise a bit, else I'd have to put away some extra $ "just" for my next ph(s), but "if push came to shove", I'd lay out the cash.
Especially if all the hw is competitive, the sw remains compelling, the design/aesthetics/bq is decent, & the "Other Half" is more than a gimmick.
I appreciate though that I'm probably very much in the minority, sadly...

I hope it is STE UE8500, this one has 22nm made cores and a gpu powerful enough for casual gaming and even high/custom profile 1080p h264 playback.

Interesting that there's only one smartphone SoC on STE's site nowadays:
http://www.stericsson.com/products/s...-platforms.jsp
There used to be 2/3 others, & at least one which was more heavily specc'd (& clearly indicated as their "top-end" SoC) than the U8500*.
I guess since all their problems they've streamlined & kept only one that they'll focus on selling.
It could be a good indicator that Jolla's locked them in as their SoC provider, or maybe not.

*even more so than the A9500 listed in their new "application processors" category

#3 - Swipe Down to open the Notifications shade
Yes, you are not asking for much, you are asking for an Android phone... so, go and buy another one.

Sorry, but for N9 users, the Android UI is a mess.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NovaThor

"On December 10, 2012, ST-Ericsson announced that STMicroelectronics will leave the joint venture after a transition period making Ericsson the full owner of the Company.[5]

On December 20, 2012, Ericsson announced that they will not buy the remaining 50% stake that STMicroelectronics held. The future for the company therefore remains uncertain.[6"

How so?

Android requires three buttons Back, Menu, Home.
I want these inside the Apps like iOS.
Android has no gestures, I want some gestures.

I just don't want the Side-Screen gesture. There's very little space there so it is difficult (or unnatural). On top of this, that bezel is a waste of palm and pocket space, so it needs to be trimmed -meaning even more difficult to perform the gesture.

I want the user interface, but with modifications.
And not a complete overhaul, just something to better the experience and not simply change for the sake of change. I don't want "Unlike"... I want to "Like" the user interface.
