Bingo - spot on. I was using 'Reflect' from extras.

Now I'm using 'alpine' in advance of tomorrow's weather.

A bug?
Btw; the date at the end of the version string has changed to "Fri Dec 11 13:33:12".
No, this is the name your N900 have.
Edit /etc/hostname to change it for something else you like it.

Do we know if this affected bluetooth at all? I just bought a set of bluetooth headphones, which seemed to be working just fine on the weekend.granted I only listened for about 10 minutes on the weekend and they worked fine, but now when I use them, they cut out and back in at intervals of anywhere between 10 seconds to 1 minute. Is this a known usual that I never noticed before or is it new? Is anyone else experiencing this? Just thought I'd ask before re-formatting back to 42 to test the issue.

EDIT

Nevermind, been testing the old firmware, drops just as much.

Hi.

I've found a little thing that has changed. You are no longer bumped up to the top of the applications list after you've installed an app.

Nice.

Grr. I consider that a regression I do not want the device suddenly making a noise that everyone else can hear when I'm listening on headphones thinking it's quiet for everyone else.

I think you might be right. Before the browser was using 4% constantly when it had a window backgrounded containing a static page - from this site. It's dropped a lot.

Or it might just be the fresh reboot effect.

Wasn't red pill mode a holdover from Diablo and earlier? I don't seem to quite grasp what it did, although I do recall many people who have been here a while advising against using it on the N900.

Ironically, I came across a thread some weeks ago with some N900 users complaining that they wanted the ringtone to play in the headset and the phone as well so they didn't have to wear the headset all the time. This was when the ringtone would only play in the headset and not one the phone whislt connected.

Keeping the phone in silent with vibrate on while wearing the headset would be a solution.
