5. 5 (I did my research and iPhone is missing too many features, so as it is, if it wasn't the N900 it may have been Android or even the Sony Ericsson Satio for the camera. I don't think iPhone as it is, provides what I want. The N900 provided the balance between most things I wanted).

Overall I chose the N900 because it has what I need. Keyboard, 5MP camera, hot-swappable memory card, changeable battery, DivX/Xvid support (as well as other codecs), TV out, no need to use iTunes (personally I prefer drag and drop in mass storage mode), mass storage mode, bluetooth sharing, multitasking, integrated messenger/Skype, FM transmitter, free applications courtesy f many programmers that frequent this site (which I found after all the research) etc etc.

It was an impulse the first time I've seen the demos that this is my next device. And then I've spent the months waiting for the release by checking each preview video and test to look for the problems to make sure I'm not returning to Nokia without a very good reason.
I was a very realistic buyer in December thanks to all the research - and now I'm an extremely happy user after 1,5 months of usage.

It is all about the OS (and the Maemo community) - the hardware is average.

And I picked the N900 despite the fact, that Nokia has the best ideas, but nowadays screws them up repeatedly, without a miss. That's how good the N900 is
