There are settings for pretty much all aspects of kinetic scrolling. I haven't played with the others yet but I think they could use a few tweaks to get things perfect.

I have my updateInterval set to 50. I also jumped on the overclocking bandwagon last night (800Mhz) and Fennec is just about even with MicroB. The minor things that bother me so far:

1. Can be too easy to pull sidebars out when scrolling pages at full zoom.

2. No swirl to zoom.

3. No highlight/hover mode.

The second two I'm sure are mostly from being used to MicroB. Tap to zoom is definitely better in Fennec. I'm gonna try setting Fennec as my default browser for a few days and see how it goes.

1. It's not a problem for me.

2. Don't miss it much. You do know you can zoom Firefox with ctrl+up-down keys? And that zooming with the volume button is either in the nightly builds or will be soon?

3. You can highlight and copy/paste. Touch the screen where you want to start or end. You will NOT see a cursor, but if you hold ctrl+forward or back keys, the text will begin to highlight from where you touched. Then just ctrl+c and ctrl+v. Credit for finding this undocumented goodie goes to Cue. Also, crtl+a will copy everything.

Agreed tap zoom is better in Firefox than MicroB.
I've been using Firefox as the default browser since 1.0 final was released. The more I use and tweak it the better I like it.
