And what would a `real sat nav` be? N900 has quite a real GPS receiver in it (and with good enough resolution considering the power consumption and size that is needed for mobile devices), augmented with cell towers (or as they call it assisted) for a quicker lock-on (without waiting for it to grab 4 stable signals + one backup which takes time and wastes the battery).

* 3.7" - 4" screen without making the footprint too much bigger i.e. don't waste too much space with the bezel...
" Faster CPU
* Maemo 6
* Make UI components slightly larger. I find text and everything in general a tad small compared to other smartphones/devices. We shouldn't have to squint... Or have a way to alter global font size.
* Multi-touch
* Real SAT NAV pls!
