Nope.

From xorg cvs, purple is 160, 32, 240...

Maroon is really much closer at 176, 48, 96...

Hence, semi-reasonably-matching. But, referring to wikipedia, purple can mean anything in the off-spectrum region at the bottom of the color envelope, and it's definitely the least obscure. (Besides, there's no Maroon Frog yet.)

If you're into heraldry, though, you might consider murrey.
(Isn't wikipedia fun?)

But fuschia tutu sounds the best.

I wasn't going to post in this thread as it's got nothing to do with me, but for crying out loud could you please please do your research before posting this kind of crap?

It's Desmond, not Fuschia.

Fuschia is his middle name.

I do every weekend. My Barret is 35lb empty and bare, and 50lbs loaded. You want it that heavy other wise it would dislocate your shoulder when you fire it.

Btw, a M60 is really too bulky to carry and shoot regardless what Rambo and Arnold has shown us. The ammo belt alone weighs 20lbs. That's why it has a carry handle at the balance point. The m14 is a cute little plinker (many hate it because it has little take down power). I find it really only good for shooting squirrels. btw, the current german standard is the G3KA4A1, no one uses or even sells the old fashion G3.

Guess I took it to mean an M2; re-reading, your interpretation is certainly reasonable. And, no, aside from the detail that I was completely joking, I wasn't planning on shooting from the hip... Not to discount the power of adrenaline, but lotsa stuff works better in the movies than in real life. (I had completely abandoned reality when I mentioned the XM214.)

Really, it's obvious that the way to go is with a Mk19, though.

I went the ma-deuce route, too. Still, a Barrett isn't great for it either.

Cool toy, though, if you can afford it. (And afford to feed it. That ammo gets expensive...)
