Yes, so you can do anything you want, and then say, your maemo.org so your responsible to fix this thing we did. or you did or um ah

Whatever, you can twist this f-ing thing however you want. The fact is, I did not change something and piss off people. But yet when I come and represent those people (since their council wouldn't) and say hey, this needs to be fixed. I am told its on me to provide a solution.

OK, we can agree to disagree. I see 66 people who want something specific and tangible from the people that took it away from them.. You see 66 people that should fix their own problem.

Is it only certain portions of the community that deserve representation from the council? Perhaps the ones you agree with?

EDIT, its now 67

fpp thanks for trying to explain what I'm doing, I think some people have missed some of the posts on that thread. Yes I'm adding just about every feature that regular themes have. Yes i'm making it match mameo.org, but once its finish and bugs are checked I will make a dark version will only take a few hours to take it from light to dark

I be leave my post about not know if it would be an option once goes back to at first the plan was to go down to 2 themes. I have not been told that yes we will use both but I would assume now that they would. If both are not used am going to write a greasemonkey script to change it to dark but I feel it will be used.

Forgive me for beating this drum, over and over and over and over and over and over

sorry I got stuck

If it will only take a couple hours to rework the color changes, then why won't someone just do that with the default theme. I DO NOT WANT A MINIMALIST THEME.

I WANT THE CURRENT DEFAULT THEME USED ON MAEMO.ORG TO BE RECOLORED AND OFFERD AS OPTIONS.

If you say this will only take a few hours, then the people who already f-ing know how to do it, should be tapped and we can have this up tomorrow.

Problem Solved

I offered money before, and I am sure other would also offer you money.

No, you're twisting things here, because -- as I have shown -- much discussion was had about these issues before we changed anything. Again, I'm sorry that you were not privy to the communication.

We support the community in as much as the community takes the time to report on issues in an empirical, justifiable manner. Until that happens, it's really just noise. As many have noticed a lot of changes & fixes have been made since the launch of the new design. Changes & fixes will continue to happen as quickly as we can muster them. Seriously, if it took 8 months to come up with this design, why do you think something would happen in a few days based off of poll results? I don't see how the "lack of support" you are speaking of can be validated.

Well, it's 67 out of </= 18,000 registered members. Even if only 1/8 of those members are "active," your number is still pretty low. I'm not saying that the poll should be ignored. I'm just saying that there are a lot of people who didn't vote.

There are no "agree" or "disagree" categories. We (the community) do what we can. We (the community) participate where we can. We (the Council) do sometimes choose which items are feasible to support. This is where other community members are welcome to join in to pick up the slack. I don't see 67 people who should fix things for themselves. I see myself as someone who has spent time and energy to fix things for myself.

There are more things to do than just changing colors. One example is that all of these graphic would have to be saved out with the proper (new) background colors:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Task:Improving_maemo.org/Graphics

Here is the checklist for (almost) everything that maemo.org incorporates:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Task:Implement...yout_and_style

No, not a couple of hours.

Like I said, we can agree to disagree.

Tim, you think my points are not valid enough reason to do anything about them.

You think you have 17000+ happy users, OK sure you do

Just like you discount my points, I discount yours.

So you can agree to disagree with me, or disagree to disagree with me.

This does not negate the fact that yoour choosing to ignore the community.

I'm not even sure anymore which themes we're talking about. What was Classic, what was Dark, etc.

Is this the Dark Theme? (Unfortunately, my screenshot makes the blues too pale, so imagine them as richer blues )

So is this what we're talking about, but without the pic of the tablet?

Does anybody have any screenshots of this theme that includes posts, not just Subject Titles?

Does anybody have screenshots of the other Themes that are being discussed?

Thus far, the only people I've seen profess any knowledge of vBulletin theming are Andrew and Reggie. Andrew is clearly focused on completing Minimalistic followed by its evil twin from the mirror universe. Reggie has implied he doesn't wish to maintain any additional themes himself.

We may have additional vBulletin experts in the community, but if so, they haven't made themselves known. Tim, X-Fade, and the others who worked on newstyle may know CSS, HTML, Midgard, etc., but that doesn't mean they also know vBulletin.

I really don't think there's a crowd of experts deliberately sitting on their hands laughing at you.

Actually, I said something like 2,250.

I don't disagree that something doesn't need to happen (I hope that's not a double-negative). I disagree with the route i which to make it happen.

As a Council member "support" does not always mean that I have the capacity to make these things happen. As a Council member, I cannot ask Nokia to spend money on something like designing a website to suite every user.

As a Council member, you do have my full support to make these things happen if you choose to. And, as a Council member, I can defend the things that you do to Nokia.

Tim

Seriously, Tim, I voted for you, and I believe this was a mistake on my part.

Qole seems to be the only one of the council memebrs who though he disagrees with what I want, at least supports what I was saying.

You think its my job to fix the mess I didn't make. I and 67 other feel its maemo.org's job to fix it.

I actually have 67 others who support the same thing I want, you have all the people that didn't vote in the polls support, how convienient.

I know of no other way to say it Tim, get it fixed. That is what the community wants.
