I'm also having trouble getting a rootfs going on mmc. I've tried various methods without success.
I've installed fanoush's initfs and also sdhc kernel.
Easily cloning os2006 using tar from mtdblock4 to ext2-formatted mmc2, fanoush's bootmenu immediately gives a message like
Ideally I'd like to be able to construct a bootable mmc from a FIAsCO image on a linux host without cloning on the IT. I tried this using the process at the top of http://maemo.org/community/wiki/HowT...RootFSFromMMC/ and bits from here but using the latest 2006 image instead of dev image and using ext2 instead of ext3. With this method the loader gives a white screen for ~30s and then silently boots from flash.Code:boot from mmc2 failed, booting from flash
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong in each of these attempts?
itīs long time ago that i know what exactly to do...
