Have a problem with my Nokia N9 dropping my connection constantly. This happens on both Wifi and 3G.

Also transmission and receiving signal strength is extremely weak compared to other wireless devices I own.

Extremely frustrating when downloading maps/packages.

I think this is also the reason why the battery life on it sucks and ultimately why the Galaxy S3 is now my primary phone.

Any fixes?

swap it on warranty, might be hardware issue.

I've searched around and it appears that the antenna on N9 is just weak in general, but I'm not sure why it drops so often.

I was just wondering if there was a way to set the Tx / Rx Power (transmission power) on the N9 through some firmware setting like you can for routers through open source firmware like dd-wrt.

Re: Maps. If anyone is still looking for a way to load maps without using the shitty wifi, you can load them via Windows PC using Nokia Suite Beta 3.5

Yeah.. there's an issue that happens randomly.. people are trying to investigate what's up.

A thread already exists discussing this: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1253775
