The "eye4" query comes up empty, but the "qtmeye" query says "install ok half-configured"....
I updated repositories and searched for the eye4 app, it shows there...

Aha, yes, of course. I have forgotten to put the bios roms onto the N900! It's been so long since I had to do anything like that. I suspect that should clear it up completely - I'll report back.
