Re: what was your phone before n900??
I really didn't like the N95 at the time... too ubiquitous, bulky, and I thought I'd knacker the slide by playing around with it too much. And the battery life was awful. I waited patiently for the...

Re: Went from N900 to Iphone 3gs {compaision}
Good point. Every time I am going to succumb to the advertising and try out the life of an Apple sheep... I remember the virus that is iTunes... I really can't stand it. Mass Storage is my favourite...

Re: Went from N900 to Iphone 3gs {compaision}
Just a couple of things... Backgrounder is not multitasking. It pauses the application and saves their state and you can easily switch back to them without restarting the application. I don't think...

Re: N900 Pinch Zoom Work around
It's only natural because we are taught to behave that way.. I see no problem with keeping one finger in one place while moving the other to "pinch". I've tried that on the iphoe and that works as...

Re: So many platforms, so many phones
I agree, however MeeGo has such a small manufacturer like Apple was a few years ago in Intel. This little known company will probably take leadership as Nokia is known to be very lazy, and will just...

Re: MP4 video file
Also, try rebooting... I've had some problems where I play something that works fine, then do something else and come back and try and play it again and it's not a recognized format. A reboot sorts...

Re: N900 keyboard friendly, second thread.
Is it possible to have a target the size of an icon square that can be moved like on normal Symbian and other non-touch OS's? Kinda like how the Blackberry Storm lets you select without activating...

Re: A little help in Media Player...?
Well it seems logical, but I can rephrase it all mp3 players I have used have this behaviour, eg. Nokia phones, Blackberry phones, Sony Ericsson phones and Cowon Media Players.
Are there any that...

Re: A little help in Media Player...?
This is nothing to do with Nokia and all to do with cleaning up tags. All mp3 players will display it the same as they assume that any deviation is another artist. Analysing the tags to see...

Re: A little help in Media Player...?
That's because the artist has to have the same spacing and spelling. It's just the way tags work on ANY device, ipods etc. Just use mp3tag and edit the artist so that all Benny Benassi songs have the...

Re: A little help in Media Player...?
The other thing is that it looks like you want to look at albums so if I were you, I'd just use the artist view instead of album view, it'll be a lot easier.

Re: A little help in Media Player...?
Yes it is, move them all into an album on your N900 with drag and drop with a mouse when in Mass Storage mode. Then drag that folder into mp3tag and press <ctrl> + <a> to select all songs, and on the...

Re: A little help in Media Player...?
You can edit it directly from your computer once you plug in your N900 in Mass Storage mode. Get something like mp3tag and with each Benny Benassi song (select them all), under album, give them all...

Re: [Maemo 5] SDLMAME [WIP]
Latter two points sound like programming work, probably beyond the scope of this, unless someone else gets on board. I'd rather have most things working as it does on desktop, then we can have touch...

Yes laying in bed watching a movie or reading would be great, but I find the 10" screen size too big. 5 is probably about right. I think Archos have tried to push it to 7"? And what do you do if you...

Without a stylus, how can you scribble notes down quickly? I think a notepad would be much better for that... and cheaper to boot.

i tried out a friend's iPhone today (incidentally, he doesn't really like it and bought an old Sony Ericsson P900 (?) recently. That's his all time favourite phone).
I was playing around and...
