Re: OS2008 Instant Messaging Upgrades

I'm a little worried about that as there are some serious "presense" bugs that I've seen on multiple units running the RTCOM beta. They are in Bugzilla but there hasn't been any comment yet. I...

Re: N8x0 Video Conferencing

Video calls also be done over SIP via h.263/h.263+ video. There are a variety of PC clients. I've used Eyebeam and Linphone. At this point it offers the best quality.

Re: Skype Video

Except the GTalk's PC client software doesn't have video capability currently.

Really there is nothing special about GTalk though. It's just Google's branded Jabber/XMPP based service. You could...

What is wrong with 22MB? There is a lot of code to process for html/xhtml/css/javascript/imaging/plugins/etc.... I wish my desktop was even close to that :D

While there are certainly some Opera...

Re: Can't get my N810 into flash boot mode

Yes, the upper button. On the N800 that same button just has a Home icon on it, so I guess I always think of it as home. You have to power it on while holding that button down *and* usb has to be...

Re: TRUPhone on 810? (VOIP)

It looks like they are just another SIP based VOIP provider, so it should work fine with an N810 after you set up that account.

Re: Video calling from N810 to N810?

It's an integrated application. If you go into the Control Panel and choose "Accounts" you can set up the information for your GTalk account. Then it will connect and you'll see the colored status...

Re: Video calling from N810 to N810?

Gizmo, GoogleTalk, Jabber and SIP should all be able to handle video calls between two N8x0's running OS2008.

GoogleTalk is probably your best bet though, if the other options don't sound...

Each to his own, but I want the *exact* same page layout I would see on a desktop browser. I find it very usuable at 100%. I don't mind if they try to offer other renderings as options, similar to...

Re: Big-time Rant of the N800

I'd say this needs some defining.

If "crash" = "system fully locked up or unable to use it with rebooting", then no, I have yet to see my n800 crash with daily use.

If "crash" = "an...

Re: Does the left side of your screen seem brighter than the right?

If you "upgraded it to OS2008" then you already did "flash" it. Flashing it is nothing more then re-writing the OS like you've done. Assuming you have the first final version of OS2008 on there...

Re: Advice needed on what to purchase, coder who needs functionality now.

AKD is correct, either will support larger SDHC cards (to 16GB currently I believe). I have two 8GB in my N800.
