NOTE: The above is a TEMPORARY workaround.
If you edit your repository entries you'll likely need to undo the change sometime later when they fix the server issue at maemo. Just keep that in mind...

I'm assuming these are not password-protected shares, because apparently those are not supported in File Manager.
I found that accessing open Windows shares was hit and miss in OS2008beta...
