- this is the point... os2006/7/8/9, et al are artificial boundaries... at the source level, nearly all Debian apps compile and install w/no problems in the tablet... the main flaw is the STUPID...

- does not have to be formatted FAT... ext2 also works for thumbdrives and USB hard drives...
- if a powered hub can provide enough juice for the USB drive (or IDE/SATA adapter), you're good to go!
