I've only started one thread here and it was all about this, and there were plenty explaining why they wanted a d - pad, and the consistent nokia answers that it was not needed in the next...

So I'm not being funny when I ask this, I genuinely would like to understand how future developments would solve/impact this...

but surely the idea of "open source" and the aim of having more independent developers come on board with apps would only be helped by the designers having a virtually limitless idea of "use cases"?...
