@nieldk: a lot to do with openmode needed and thereby removing all accounts (why?), before I can backup them with backup menu :( but backup menu would be great.

4. sounds good :) I spent many hours trying to repair the usb socket. The only thing I got to work was temporary connect an usb cable directly to the pads, because I had to do a reflash. IMHO...

1st: closed n900.

2nd: opened with battery, the grey wires are for charge (directly connected to the battery pins (not for USB!!), now obsolete because I have a wall wart...
