Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

Ah! I hadn't thought of that - the iPhone has a built-in dead zone to avoid accidental drag events, but perhaps the N900 doesn't. It's worth fixing this.

Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

Hey!

That's great news, thp - thanks for getting it all to work!

Everyone: this build should fix all the problems you have. Please take five minutes to test it!

Once you confirm it...

Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

Hey!

I haven't heard back from anyone about the changes that were made, so I've gone ahead and released the new version to the public. It's now available under version control from Launchpad at...

Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

OK, I think I've fixed the problem where secrets weren't being unlocked: download the latest (unpatched for Maemo) build from www.tuxradar.com/files/brainparty/brainparty0.591.tar.gz - if that fixes...

Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

Hey!

Hmm... this secrets unlocking bug is strange. To be clear: you need to score at least 450g in one of Balloon Blaster, Jewel Jam, Odd One Out or Untangler in either test mode or practise mode....

Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

Good news: I think I've found and fixed the problem. It's pretty fundamentally obvious, but it didn't show up on the other desktop platforms simply because RAM is much more plentiful on other...

Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

lma: I reckon I can see what's causing that, and it's an easily fixed bug. Go to the LoadSettings() function in BPGame.cpp and add this line at the top:

AllTestScores.Clear();

Now save and...

Re: Brain Party for Linux (and now for N900)

Hey!

<< Finally, what score should I get in baloons? I pop quite a bit and get failed. >>

A good player can score over 500,000 in a game. I can get 50,000 in about 20 seconds. Remember, it's a...

Re: Brain Party for Linux

Hey!

I'm glad you're all enjoying the game! Let me respond to a few things you've said...

thp: I've received some other patches from someone who made a Windows port. I'd like to merge it all...

Re: Brain Party for Linux

Hey!

Yes, it's OpenGL ES - and the GL parts are almost totally encapsulated, so any changes that need to be made should take only a few minutes.

Re: Brain Party for Linux

Hey!

That sounds cool! I'm the developer, and I'd be happy to release the extra accelerometer game, but it's currently in Objective C - it would take 10 minutes or so for someone to convert it to...
