It's just an Adhoc mode WiFi connection for connecting two devices without a hotspot. E.g. you could connect the N900 to your laptop without needing a WiFi hotspot. Adhoc mode doesn't support...

The N810 does not have the hardware required to send or receive cellular signals. The N810 is not a phone. The only way you could make it a phone would be to open it up and somehow add the hardware...

yeah, easy is pretty nice and straight forward. just download the easy debian file and it will automatically download the other. when you run it, just make sure you have enough space on you sd card...

Mer is the future of the tablet. It's an OS for the N8x0 tablets that is based on Ubuntu (IIRC) and will be what we run on our tablets to give them a longer life just like Linux does for older PC's....

The new version of Abiword for Maemo is a lot more stable than previous versions, but Abiword is not perfectly compatible with Microsoft Word. Many of my more complex Microsoft documents are mangled....

Yeah, you'd have to more or less re-engineer a whole new n810 in order to do what you want to do, and if you did, you'd just end up with a unicated version of the next tablet anyways, so why bother? ...

That's pretty much unobtainable for a couple of reasons.

The OMAP2 parts are BGA (ball grid array). Unsoldering and soldering a different part in takes some pretty specialized equipment.

The document? Of course. Just save it to your external card or internal card (external with a Card Reader, or both via the USB cable from N810 to PC) and save the document to whichever card you...
