You can also, as root, make a .desktop file in /usr/share/applications/hildon that points to the script. You can edit it with leafpad or some other text editor. Best to copy an existing .desktop file...

Hi everybody, sorry for the late response.

Please take in consideration that Navit is in alpha stage and the N8x0 port is more alpha than the PC version. Actually there's a memory/cpu limitation...

Files are scattered all over. The binaries (programs) are usually in /usr/bin and data/resources can usually be found in /usr/share . Of course, that is not a definte list.

Some progs keep config...

Make sure that the ssh server is running "sshd net start" and verify the ssh port is open "netstat -an | grep LISTEN" port 22 is the default port.

Check your WiFi router. Looks for a setting called "isolation". It's a "security" feature where two wireless clients are not allowed to see each other.

Since you are on a mac check in the os2008...
