Yes to terminal and filemanager. Although both have to be downloaded and installed from an app store first.
USB drives are not supported AFAIK, and the terminal is very limited if you haven't rooted...

SOLVED: 'application packages missing' error on trying to install most apps on n810 diablo

i've managed to fix it myself - it appeared that the maemo 5 extras repository was installed & enabled, which (presumably) was making the application manager for the apps look for more advanced...

UMPCPortal is a great resource. The two things lacking from their product compilation is whether the product is currently being produced (e.g. the N810 shows as "available" which is technically true...

Take a gander at the sony omnia pro. And try going to umpcportal.com And use their search engine. You can filter it to suit your exact needs. (Wifi, keyboard, weight...)

Well, there are several known linux viruses. Anyway, probably corrupted filesystem, can hit anywhere... Reflashing does help if you don't know your way around.
