I was offered PR1.2 via the updater. Freed up enough rootfs space by disabling all other repositories.

If you haven't been offered PR1.2, do you have PR1.1.1? I believe there's a Nokia repository...

Sometimes may be you don't have enough free space in the rootf, or may be conflict of libraries installed in your device. or you could be on yhe latest firmware for your country or carrier like...

All i can tell you is i have repaired one that was totally off the board and i was able to get a solder fix on the tracks that connect to the 5 data pins and as this one was same as your no warranty...

The usb is easy to repair Kaii how bad is it? has it left the tracks on the motherboard for the data pins at the back ?

Looks like you are in the wrong directory. Where did you save the file?

For example if you saved it from the PC using Mass Storage mode or via the N900 web browser into the root directory, you...

I'd wait and see what Vodafone have to say - it could be that they've stuffed it up themselves. Otherwise, ebay do have info on reporting inappropriate trading behaviour...

NP mate, ebay is great for buying stuff, but remember to ALWAYS register on immobilise.co.uk

I THINK this means that the person who sold it did not pay their bills or something and the network...

It makes ALL the difference- I think the person you bought it from has reported it stolen and got their insurance to give them a new one.

As soon as you received it you should have registered it...
